Jeff Stauring is a businessman and also coaches soccer to young players. As a fitness enthusiast, Jeff believes that children need to get out more and get involved in more sporting activities. More and more children these days live a less active life than their parents did. This can lead to a range of other health and emotional problems in the future. Jeff Stauring is a firm believer in TEAM = Together Each Achieves More. He really emphasizes this when coaching practice sessions. He states “that it is critical that all players understand the goal and that to get that goal it may require a pass to assist another player to score for the team”. This is a basic concept for a team but is sometimes missed when a player wants to be the one that always scores. When he sees a missed opportunity in practice he will stop the session and have the team do a “replay” and look at the missed opportunity and be prepared next time.

Jeff Stauring mentions that playing sports can prepare children for a lot of experiences in life. They learn to work hard, to prepare for future events in the present, and they learn to celebrate their victories and learn from their defeats. The time children spend playing sports is the time they are both physically and mentally active. He also says that an active childhood can create habits for a lifetime and playing sports at a young age can instill habits that can give the children a life full of good health and activity. One of the primary advantages of playing sports is that it helps the children to be goal oriented and disciplined, which has a positive effect on everything else they do in life such as studying and being creative at different tasks. He suggests that parents should take an active interest in the sports their children are interested in and then guide them in the proper manner on how to pursue a sport.
